How It Works
Mystery shoppers get paid to visit their local outlets and
branches to assess the customer service that they receive.
It’s important for major Australian companies such as
Woolworths, Myer etc to get their customer service
right, which is why some companies indirectly employ mystery
shoppers.
The “shopper” must visit the store and act as
a normal customer (whilst keeping their identity as a mystery
shopper secret). A mystery shopper evaluates various aspects
of the customer experience whilst they are in the store.
This information is then reported back to the store that
uses it to assess and improve their customer service. It
makes a lot of sense doesn’t it?
By becoming a mystery shopper, you can get paid to
do a whole range of exciting activities and more
often than not, keep the things that you buy.
Yes, it does sound like a dream way to earn some spare cash,
but you must understand it from the company’s point
of view – they must keep customer service levels at
a consistent high level, and the only way to monitor it is
with normal people who assess them “undercover”.
It’s simple and straightforward to get started, and
the best thing is that you don’t need any special skills
to get started – you just need to look normal! (Note, you may require an ABN)
